Photos of our riders

We love sharing the fun. Here's how we keep it safe for every rider and family.

Permission comes first

We only publish a photo of a rider on our website or social media when a parent or guardian has said yes, using our Photo Permission form. Families can choose to allow photos online, allow team-only use, or say no to photos. Every choice is respected, and it never affects a rider's place on the team.

How we protect riders in photos

  • No names. We never publish a rider's name with a photo. Names on number plates and jerseys are blurred.
  • No location data. Phone photos can hide the exact place they were taken. We remove that information from every photo before it goes online.
  • Team activities only. We share photos from practices, races and team events, nothing personal.
  • Other teams' riders. We don't feature riders from other teams.
  • Respectful images only. If a photo isn't one a rider would be proud of, we don't use it.

Changing your mind or asking for removal

You can change your choice or ask us to remove any photo at any time. Email sussexcompositemtbclub@gmail.com or use our contact form (choose "Photo permission or removal request"). Tell us which page the photo is on. You don't need to tell us your child's name in the form; we'll reply by email to sort out the details. We aim to take photos down within a few days.

Photos taken by others

At league races, photos may also be taken by the New Jersey league, its photographers and other families. Those are covered by the league's own policies. See the NJ league and NICA for details.
